Meet Yolanda and Fernando

Instructor

Born and raised in Cali, Colombia, the salsa capital of the world, Fernando has been passionate about dance for over 20 years. His journey began in his early twenties, when he immersed himself in the vibrant rhythms of Salsa Caleña, Salsa On1, Salsa Choke, and Rueda de Casino.

Throughout his dancing career, Fernando has trained and taught at various dance academies in Cali, performed across Colombia representing different dance schools, and coached dance groups for performances in his hometown.

Now calling Colorado home, Fernando brings his Colombian roots, years of experience, and heartfelt passion for music and dance to his new community. For Fernando, dance is more than just steps—it's a celebration of culture, connection, and joy. His greatest passion is sharing that joy with others and inspiring people to discover the magic of salsa.

Yolanda

Instructor · DJ Diva

Born and raised in Mexico, Yolanda has been an active and passionate member of the salsa dance community for over 10 years. Her journey has taken her from student to dancer, instructor, and DJ, sharing her love for Latin music at various dance events.

Deeply grateful for the warmth and friendship this community has shown her over the years, Yolanda is dedicated to giving back and helping others experience the joy of music, dance, and cultural connection. She also proudly serves on the board of A Lo Cubano Boulder Fest, supporting the celebration and preservation of Latin culture.

For Yolanda, salsa is more than a dance—it's about friendship, belonging, and bringing people together through music.
